Important Message for All Smithtown Red Cross Club Members

There will be no meeting (for members or officers) this week. However, the American Red Cross has asked us to please remind EVERY member to fill out the form linked to this blog to become an ARC Youth Volunteer. Many of our members did that first step last week in the computer lab and then never completed the actual process by going home and checking their email. The ARC sent you a link on your email that you MUST follow in order for them to ensure that you are an actual human being and not a spammer. Please, please check your email for that link and finish filling out the Youth Volunteer Application form. The Red Cross Needs YOU!!

Also, please see Ms. Robinson to hand in lollypop donations and to pick up another bag. We're doing well, so keep it up!

Next general meeting - Wednesday, February 6th

Please join us in the library computer lab after school as we go through how you can join other American Red Cross Youth Volunteers by entering your information into the online American Red Cross computer database. Also, upcoming events will be discussed.

Please remember to bring money for your Smithtown Red Cross Club tee shirt ($15) and/or your Support the Red Cross bracelet ($2). What a great way to show your Valentine that you really care!

Next meeting - January 30th. All are welcome!

Please join us in welcoming our American Red Cross representative who will be giving us a presentation about what the ARC is and of what types of activities they are involved in. We will meet in the library after school.

Don't forget. . . it's not too late to purchase your Smithtown Red Cross club tee-shirt and/or bracelet. If you are interested in either of these, please see Ms. Gillen, Ms. Robinson, Ms. Williams or one of the club officers.

First Meeting of 2013

All members, please join us in the Library Computer Lab this Wednesday, January 9th where we will be going over upcoming events and making sure everyone is signed into the American Red Cross Youth Program site. Please remember that if you haven't paid the $15. membership dues (purchased a tee shirt) that you can bring the money to this meeting...it's not too late to become a member of our club!

December 5th- Last Meeting of 2012!

All members should join us in the faculty room at 2PM for our (very festive) last meeting of the 2012 year. We will also be working on holiday gifts to be used as donations to the American Red Cross.
